“Bike the Best of the Badlands during the annual WHEELIN’ TO WALL! This event allows any casual or avid biker to experience the views of the Badlands of South Dakota through 4 great recreational rides (2 on pavement and 2 on gravel).

WHEELIN’ TO WALL kicks off on Main St. Wall, just down the street from the World-Famous Wall Drug Store. This event is the only annual cycling ride that is held in the Badlands National Park.

Proceeds from WHEELIN’ TO WALL are used to improve the walking and biking infrastructure in Wall, which benefits locals and visitors alike. WHEELIN’ TO WALL takes place annually in September on National Public Lands Day and is held under special use permits with the US Forest Service and Badlands National Park.

Thanks to some of the most persistent roadside billboards advertising “free ice water” among other things, most people have heard of Wall Drug located in the town of Wall, SD. And just outside of the town lies Badlands National Park, a dramatic and ancient display of sandstone formations.

Any casual or avid biker can get to know both during the Wheelin’ to Wall recreational ride (not a race) event that takes place every September on National Public Lands Day. Event headquarters are in Wall, SD.

Distances cater to all interests and abilities with courses on pavement 31or 38, or a gravel (mixed surface) for 35 or 68-mile ride. All courses are fully supported with aid stations and SAG support. Shuttle service is available. Bring your friends or make new ones, and ride the best of the Badlands. E-bikes are welcome on all courses. Continue to be a part of South Dakota history. WHEELIN’ TO WALL is the only annual cycling event to be held in the South Dakota Badlands.
